Perth AI search by industry
The industries the observation programme covers. Each one runs the same fixed prompt classes, the same platforms and the same repeated-run design, so results can be compared across industries rather than read in isolation.
Round one observed
20 Perth industries were measured in the Perth AI Search Study 2026, 2,400 observation records in total, collected 8 to 10 September 2026 across Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, ChatGPT and Gemini. The counts below are read from the observation file, not entered by hand.
Findings are reported in the study, by platform and across industries. Per-industry result pages are not published yet: a row here links to the study rather than to a page that would only repeat it.

Every industry ran the same design: 10 questions, three rounds, four AI systems. "Carrying recommendations" counts the observations where the system actually put forward a business, which is lower than the observation count because an answer can name nobody, and because an AI Overview does not appear for every question.
